Course Description

In this course, you will finalize your research topic, outline the theoretical and conceptual frameworks, and prepare a draft of the first chapter of your dissertation that will guide the study. You will clarify the significance and context of your research, refine the problem, purpose, and the research questions. Faculty will highlight the alignment of the problem with the purpose, research questions, and the methodological approach you select to conduct your research. Lectures, group projects, and individual projects help bring theory to practice. The course covers scholarly writing and guidelines set by the American Psychological Association (APA).
