Course Description
This is a writing course, focusing on speculative genre short stories (science fiction, fantasy, and horror). We will be discussing writing techniques effective for short story writing, along with basics of story structure, plotting, characterization, and creating believable worlds. All students will be expected to write several short stories during the semester, and peer critique will be a part of the course.
