Course Description

Early Irish literature is alive with stories of kings, queens, and warriors living in a magical landscape. This is an introduction to early Irish Literature in translation. Students will read selections of stories from the Mythological, Ulster and Fenian cycles. Historical and cultural contexts will help the class to engage and understand Ireland's early literature.
