Course Title
CONFLICT ANALYSIS AND RESOLUTION
Course Description
This course examines the multiple political, social, economic and cultural arrangements that have been created to identify conflict before it begins and to insure meaningful and lasting resolutions in the international context. What tools and insights have institutions and scholars developed to assess the dynamics of emergent conflicts? What strategies and approaches have been applied to resolve conflicts, and to what effect have they been applied? Case studies of two or three conflicts since 1945 and the efforts to address them will serve as examples, while drawing on the recent literature on conflict resolution.
