Course Description
Content varies from year to year. Recent topics were Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometries, differential geometry, classification of two-dimensional and three-dimensional manifolds, and elliptic curves. The course can be repeated for credit if the topics in the two MATH 4445 courses are substantially different; however, only the first course can count as fulfilling the 4000-level requirement.
