Course Description
Prerequisite: MUSC 1641 and/or advanced voice study. Permission of Instructor required. This course is designed to offer the aspiring singer and/or actor who sing the opportunity to study, prepare and perform important scenes from musical theatre and operatic literature in a workshop setting. Students will have the opportunity to coach selected songs, arias and ensemble pieces as well as have the opportunity to perform those works in a limited theatrical setting. It is hoped that this workshop experience will provide an essential fundamental step in the student's development in musical theater/opera.
