Course Description

The focus of this course includes evidence-based practice, leadership, ethical principles, interprofessional collaboration, and delegation. Students will demonstrate and expand competencies in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes achieved in previous courses and essential for transition to professional practice. The application of Roy’s Model will continue to be integrated in designing and implementing culturally sensitive, patient centered care for clients across the four spheres of care. Students will apply theory to practice utilizing the nursing process, critical thinking, clinical judgment, healthcare technology, and quality and safety in the provision of compassionate care for the acutely ill client.
