Course Title
ETHICS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Course Description
The emergence of artificial intelligence brings with it a series of ethical questions, ranging from "what tasks should it perform?" and "how ought it transform everyday life?" to "are its environmental impacts morally acceptable?" and "what is the appropriate response to the risks it poses?" Drawing on case studies, ethical theory, and cognitive science, this class will explore many of the ethical questions posed by AI in a systematic and philosophically rigorous manner.
