Course Description

Prerequisite: One previous course in Philosophy. PHIL 2109, PHIL 2124, or PHIL 2222 are recommended. Not open to freshmen. This course will address the major philosophical figures and problems of the early modern period of Western Philosophy, with readings of primary texts from Bacon, Descartes, Hobbes, and Spinoza.
