Course Description
This advanced course in Law & International Relations examines international law and organizations and global governance of key issue areas like the use of force, humanitarian law, human rights, arms control, environmental issues, trade, and more. While there is no prerequisite, a background or strong interest in international relations OR the law is recommended. The overarching goal of the course is for students to understand the complex nature of transnational social, political, and economic issues, and to develop a critical understanding of the threats and opportunities of global governance and international law. This course is restricted to juniors and seniors.
