Course Description
Not open to those with credit for SOCY 2745.Through critical examination of the U.S. immigration and naturalization process, this course will inform students about the various and complex paths to U.S. citizenship. Students are required to attend and assist in community-based naturalization classes facilitated by the Stockton Center for Community Engagement. Students will also participate in readings, reflections, analysis, and discussions of citizenship as it is understood in the U.S. today.
