Course Description
This course examines contemporary, multidisciplinary approaches to violence prevention advocacy and education. Students will explore the role of victim services in supporting individuals and communities affected by violence, as well as barriers to providing effective intervention and assistance. Various forms of victim services/assistance within the criminal justice system are discussed (e.g., victim involvement in the investigative process, courts, and corrections).
