Physical Therapy, DPT Program Handbook
2026-2027
Stockton University School of Health Sciences
Physical Therapy Program
There are many policies and procedures that are important to the University and to your graduate program. The policies and procedures in this Handbook have been developed by the faculty of the Physical Therapy Program at Stockton University. This Handbook is posted every year on Stockton University portal. Since the University and Program reserves the right to make changes at any time, the most up-to-date version of the Handbook is available on Stockton’s portal. Notification of any additional policies and procedures or modification of current policies or procedures will be provided in a timely manner.
This Handbook is to be used in addition to the current University-wide policies and procedures as outlined in the Stockton Bulletin. All University policies and procedures, including academic policies, the campus code of conduct, academic honesty, etc. are published in the Stockton Bulletin. The Stockton Bulletin is posted every year. This Handbook is a program-specific supplement to the Stockton Bulletin; in cases where the Program Handbook contains the more stringent policy, the Handbook governs. Since the University reserves the right to make changes at any time, the most up-to-date versions of the Bulletin and Handbook are available on the University web site.
This Handbook strives to assist you in understanding Program expectations. The faculty members of the Physical Therapy Program hope it proves to be a helpful resource during your enrollment in the Program. Every effort is made to provide accurate information in this Handbook. This Handbook reflects current policies and procedures for the Physical Therapy Program and remains effective until the Handbook is revised. The University reserves the right to make changes at any time without prior notice.
It is your responsibility to be knowledgeable about all the information covered in this Handbook. Failure to read and understand these policies and procedures will not excuse actions that can result in academic probation, dismissal from a graduate program, or other disciplinary action. If you have any questions, please see a physical therapy faculty member. Be sure to refer to this Handbook as a reference throughout your enrollment in the DPT Program.
This Handbook has been reviewed and approved by the Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Physical Therapy Program Governance Committee, and Physical Therapy Core Faculty, 2025-2026.
