Course Description
Formerly titled "Mapping German Culture II." Not open to those with credit for LANG 2252. The studies of the various German speaking countries and regions will focus on current events and authentic reading selections, authentic media materials, conversational, syntax and listening activities, cinema, historical perspectives and famous people from the EU areas Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and out-lying "German heritage" regions of the world. Native guest speakers will be invited to share their perspective with the class. Students will focus on creating their own presentations and research into important historical figures and events. A paper or project on an area of interest will be completed by each student.
