Course Description

The focus of this capstone course is to synthesize leadership, political, economic, legal, ethical, global, and technological issues confronting professional nursing practice. Students will demonstrate and expand competencies in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes achieved in previous courses essential for transition to professional practice. The exploration of health care systems, both nationally and internationally, will enhance the understanding of contemporary issues and trends in a global society. Career planning will encourage the student to recognize the value of civility, resilience, self-care, professional development, and life-long learning.
