Course Description

This course is designed to meet the needs of nurses in advanced practice who are eligible for prescriptive privileges. General principles of pharmacology will be discussed with an emphasis on the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics characteristics of common drugs prescribed in the primary care setting. In addition, content will focus on the pharmacological treatment of common episodic complaints and the management of chronic disease states across the life span.
