Course Description

This advanced-level PR course is designed to introduce students to the major legal concepts regarding First Amendment protection, commercial speech doctrine, privilege and access, privacy rights and concerns, defamation, copyright, patents and trademark, trade secrets, public-interest speech, Internet-related laws, the U.S. judicial system, legal defenses, and the relevant federal and state regulatory schemes that are enforced by FTC, FCC, FDA and others.
