FROM ARCHIVE TO PUBLICATION: PRINT AND DIGITAL PRACTICE
Course Description
Students join the team of Stockton’s student-staffed local history press to produce publications focused on South Jersey history and culture. The course examines publishing as both a traditional print practice and a form of digital curation, emphasizing the transformation of archival materials into accessible print and digital formats. Students develop skills in editing, digital layout and design, and publication strategy while critically considering how historical archives are selected and disseminated. No prior editing or design experience is required; strong writing skills are expected.
